Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the AISJ Shop ("the Shop"), operated by the American International School of Johannesburg ("AISJ", "we", "our").

By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Shop

The Shop offers approved AISJ products, event and activity payments, services, donations, and fundraising items. Each listing describes what is being offered, its price, availability, and any collection or fulfilment arrangements.

2. Orders & payment

  • Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include any applicable taxes.
  • Payment is processed securely via Paygate (PayWeb 3).
  • An order is only confirmed once payment has been successfully received.
  • Stock is reserved for 20 minutes while you complete checkout. Unpaid orders are released after this period.

3. Item availability and descriptions

Some Shop items are unique or available in limited quantities. We take reasonable care to keep descriptions, prices, and availability accurate. If an item or service becomes unavailable after payment, AISJ will offer an appropriate replacement where available or refund the affected amount.

4. Collection / Pickup

  • Physical items are collected from the AISJ Johannesburg Campus or fulfilled as described in the listing or order confirmation.
  • See the Contact page for the pickup address and arrangements.
  • Items not collected within 3 months of the sale may be donated or disposed of at the school's discretion.

6. Intellectual property

Intellectual-property rights in Shop content and products remain with AISJ or the applicable rights holder. Purchasing a physical item does not grant reproduction or commercial-use rights unless the listing expressly says otherwise.

7. Liability

The Shop is operated by AISJ for approved school offerings. To the extent permitted by South African law, AISJ's total liability in respect of any order is limited to the amount paid for that order.

8. Changes to the Shop or Terms

We may update these Terms or change/withdraw items at any time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
